FoodSpark

FoodSpark is a series of monthly, themed, and potluck-style dinner parties that allow individuals to make connections, start conversations, spark ideas on social topics that matter to them.

FoodSpark was started in 2014 by the team of Civic Creatives, a design organization based in St. Louis, MO, as a monthly potluck series aimed at sparking connection, conversation, and ideas.

Using feedback gathered from FoodSpark community members throughout 2017, FoodSpark recently evolved its monthly platform to engage three, 4-month long Spark series each year. During these fun and diverse food-based experiences, participants receive more chances to 1) gather and engage each other in different platforms, 2) extend and deepen the conversations of each topic and 3) generate collective action as we imagine, shape, and secure funding for ideas that are sparked.
